Caredig Appoint New Chair of Board

We are delighted to announce that from 1st June 2023, Kirsten Achtelstetter has been appointed as the new Chair of Board at Caredig.

Kirsten has been part of Caredig’s Board for over a year and has already had a significant impact, in particular supporting both the Board and the Leadership Team in developing new business objectives and key results.

Kirsten is an experienced Technology executive with a strong record of transformation and growth across FTSE250 organisations and start-ups. Having held various CTO roles in the City, she has deep experience in financial services technology across asset management, trading and FinTech. She now runs her own business advising clients on business strategy, organisational efficiency and technology delivery.

Marcia Sinfield, CEO said “Kirsten is passionate about the impact of data and technology on improving outcomes for tenants and I’m sure will support us in our improvement journey, constructively challenging us to collect and use insight at every tenant touchpoint.”

Kirsten shared "It is a privilege to be appointed as the Chair of Caredig, an organisation I have come to know as future-focused, brave and resilient all at the same time. As I take the reins from our extremely capable outgoing Chair, Jackie Royall, I hope to continue the great work she has done and support the organisation in these challenging times, both economic and environmentally, to the best of my ability. I very much look forward to working with the great teams we have, both at Board and Executive level, to make Caredig the best possible organisation it can be for the tenants, staff and communities we serve."

Jackie Royall, who has made a huge difference to Caredig’s journey in her time as Chair, will stay on the Board as a Member until the Annual General Meeting in September, which will provide both transition support for Kirsten and give us the opportunity to thank her.
