Caredig Welcomes Two New Board Members
Following our recruitment process over the autumn we are delighted to welcome Christina Hirst and Amie Chapman to our Board.
Our Board work together to set our strategic objectives and works with our Executive Team to ensure we are held to account for Caredig’s overall performance and compliance with regulation and legislation. The Board also work together to safeguard our assets, finances, customers and our staff.
Christina Hirst will also be our Senior Independent Director. Christina is a chartered surveyor with approximately 30 years’ experience both in practice as a surveyor and as a management and training consultant. She is passionate about sustainability and holds a Master’s degree in renewable energy and resource management. Previous experience of non-executive director positions in the housing and property sectors has given Christina has a strong understanding of good governance.
Christina’s currently provides advice on training, assessment and apprenticeships for the land, property and construction sectors, and is author of a wide range of professional standards, publications, guidance and books
Christina said: “I am delighted to be joining the Board in the newly established role of Senior Independent Director at such an exciting time in Caredig’s journey. The Caredig vision and values resonate with me on a personal and a professional level and I look forward to helping to shape the future of the organisation and playing a part in creating great places to live and work.”
Joining Christina on our Board is Aime Chapman, Head of Finance at Tai Calon Community Housing.
Amie will also sit on the Audit and Risk Committee. Amie is a FCCA finance professional with 18 years’ experience and has particular expertise in financial modelling, cash flow management, budgeting, corporate projects, financial reporting, change management and leadership. She is passionate about people and communities; believes in listening and working in co-operation, providing support and opportunities that bring about a sense of pride and betterment to oneself and our communities.
Amie said: “I Have spent the last 8 years as a board member of Stori and so both excited and nervous about starting my new board role at Caredig. The Caredig Mission and Values are particularly close to my heart and I am hoping that my experience, skills set and abundance of passion and energy will help to support Caredig on its journey”
