Statement from our Chief Executive on the local lockdown announcement
The Welsh Government has today (Friday 25th September) introduced additional local restrictions in Llanelli, Swansea and Cardiff to come into effect from this weekend, due to the significant rise in coronavirus cases. This is in addition to existing limits on the number of people able to meet and the mandatory use of face coverings in all indoor spaces and where social distancing can’t be maintained.
After reviewing this guidance we have decided that it does not affect the services we offer. All our colleagues are already following safe working practices to prevent the spread of the virus and having planned for this, we are confident that we can continue with the delivery of services such as repairs whilst adhering to Welsh Government guidelines about working in your homes.
Our priority is the safety of anyone who lives in our homes or uses our services and of our colleagues, and we will keep the new measures under regular review and monitor the situation regularly. We will update you immediately with any changes.
If you are due a repair or a visit from us and you or any member of your household exhibit symptoms please let us know as soon as possible so we can make alternative arrangements. We will continue to ask our staff to take the usual safety measures and will contact you before we visit to ensure it is safe to do so.
In the meantime, please stay safe and check our website and social channels for any updates to our services.
Marcia Sinfield, Chief Executive
