Mindfulness Through Art: A Community Collaboration

Caredig, in partnership with Morganstone Ltd, has launched a new Art Therapy initiative aimed at promoting mindfulness and wellbeing among residents. The first session brought together residents from Caredig and Goleudy Connect for a creative and calming experience.

Led by ArtisAnn Wales, the session focused on painting sunset portraits, encouraging participants to slow down, be present, and express themselves through art. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with many attendees sharing how relaxed and uplifted they felt after the session.

“It was wonderful to see residents fully embrace the opportunity to take time for themselves,” said a Caredig spokesperson. “These sessions are about more than just painting—they’re about creating space for reflection, connection, and self-care.”

Caredig’s Community Engagement Officer, Emma Williams, and Morganstone’s CSR Manager Jennifer Powell were on hand to support the session and are already looking forward to seeing what artwork emerges in the coming weeks.

This initiative is part of Caredig’s ongoing commitment to community benefit and wellbeing, made possible through strong partnerships and a shared vision for healthier, more connected communities.
