Coronavirus Update

In the light of further updates from the UK Government on the spread of the Coronavirus, we want to assure you that Family Housing are taking extra health and safety precautions, in all we do, to limit the spread and help protect our residents and colleagues.

We have already asked that you do not visit our Extra Care schemes if you have symptoms that may be caused by the Coronavirus These schemes are home to our older tenants who are more vulnerable to contracting the virus, we want to do all we can to minimise the risk to them. What to do if you have symptoms of Coronavirus

If you live in one of our extra care schemes, we need your support. To help us, we ask that you try to limit the visitors you receive to those that are most important to you. In addition, visitors will not have access to communal areas. Please speak to your Scheme Manager should you have any queries.

We are in unique times and we want to ensure that we continue to provide vital services while keeping everyone safe. At the moment, if you call us requesting a repair you will be asked some questions about whether you or any members of your family are exhibiting symptoms of the Coronavirus. This is important so we can limit the risk to our colleagues and to you.

In all other circumstances we will only visit your home to attend to essential meetings linked to your tenancy and we will provide all other assistance over the telephone. If a visit is necessary, we will ask you to take some additional precautions and these will be explained at the time.

Our main reception at Walter Road will be closed from 9am Friday 20th March until further notice.

We would like to remind you that the following services can be accessed via our My Home 24/7 app or website.

  • Pay your Rent
  • Report a Repair
  • Contact your Housing Officer

The advice is for everyone to take sensible steps and follow the public health guidance in respect of the Coronavirus to help prevent its spread.
