Caredig’s Evolving Values: A Commitment to Excellence and Collaboration

In 2013, Caredig introduced its first set of core values, laying the foundation for how we work and interact as an organisation. These values became the guiding principles that shaped our culture and set the tone for our internal and external relationships. Three years later, in 2016, supporting behaviours were added to ensure that our values were not just words on paper but lived, everyday actions that everyone in the organisation could embrace.

Our values of Trusting, Kind, Accountable and Innovative are integral to Caredig’s vision: The Caredig Way – Together we proudly create great places to live and work. This vision emphasises collaboration, pride, and the shared responsibility we have in creating environments that people can call home. It’s a vision that brings us together as a team, fostering a workplace where everyone’s contribution is valued and where we strive to make a meaningful difference in the communities we serve.

Over the past several months, Caredig has undertaken an important reflection process, engaging staff from all corners of the organisation in discussions and activities focused on the behaviours that define our workplace culture. Through these conversations, we explored how behaviours can range from good to bad, to downright ugly—how they affect our work environment and how they are perceived by others. This collaborative effort has allowed us to better understand the impact of our individual and collective actions.

As a result of this feedback and reflection, we have refined our core values and associated behaviours. We also introduced new value icons to visually represent the key principles that guide our work. These symbols will help reinforce the messages behind our values and make them more tangible for all members of the organisation.

Our values and associated behaviours are more than just a reflection of where we’ve been—they are a roadmap for where we are headed. From this point forward, these value-led behaviours will be woven into every aspect of how we work at Caredig. They will influence the way we interact with each other, with our partners, and with the communities we serve.

By embedding our values and behaviours into everything we do, we are reinforcing our commitment to creating great places to live and work—together.
