Caredig Continues to Support Matthews House as Charity of the Year

At Caredig, we believe in giving back to our community, and we’re delighted that Matthews House is our staff chosen charity of the year. Over the past few months, our staff have been actively involved with Matt’s Café, a welcoming space that provides meals and support to those in need.

Our partnership has included a variety of activities, from fundraising to hands-on volunteering. Most recently, several staff members have spent time at the café, assisting with meal preparation, serving food, and helping with day-to-day tasks. Their experiences have been overwhelmingly positive.

Jayne and Kate volunteered on July 28th, sharing:
“It was humbling to be part of the charitable work they do to help vulnerable people.”

Manisha and Rhiannon also volunteered earlier in July. Manisha reflected:
“The café was easy to find and welcoming. I was on waitressing duty and found that during busy times, everyone pitched in beyond their assigned roles. It was clear that the people who came in felt welcome and truly benefited from the services.”

To date, six staff members have volunteered, with two more scheduled to join in September. We’re proud to support the incredible work of Mathews House and look forward to continuing our efforts to make a difference in our community.
