New Developments
We strive to build energy-efficient homes to support thriving communities. Check out some of our new developments below!

Whitewalls Development, Swansea
We are excited to see the start of a new project at our Whitewalls Development on Oxford Street, right in the heart of Swansea City Centre.
The project will provide 15 new homes and will be completed in partnership with Swansea.com.
Swansea.com acquired the vacant building in January 2024, and following a successful planning application, they are now on site converting the upper floors into 15 new apartments. The ground floor will be split into three commercial units managed by the developer.
Oxford Street, Swansea
This project is underway in partnership with Morganstone Ltd and will transform existing retail units and unoccupied upper floors into a new residential development. This project will create 33 modern apartments, including a mix of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units. With the exterior incorporating a variety of finishes to give the development a fresh, modern feel.
Additional features include a new bike store, bin store, and a mechanical and electrical plant room. The completed development will provide much-needed affordable housing for the Swansea area.
Samlet Road, Llansamlet
This exciting development is situated on a brownfield site adjacent to Aldi, Samlet Road, Swansea.
This particular project features 35 high-quality homes designed with low-carbon technologies and environmentally conscious principles, achieving EPC A ratings for long-term sustainability and comfort.
The scheme will comprise a mix of 1 and 2-bed apartments, and 2 and 3-bedroom houses with associated amenity space.
This development is possible through the strong support of Swansea City Council and the Welsh Government.
Frederick Place, Llansamlet
Our latest development at Frederick Place, Llansamlet provides 15 brand-new homes, featuring a range of modern amenities designed to support sustainable living. These include on-site parking, solar panels, and bike storage facilities—helping to promote greener lifestyles while providing high-quality housing for the community.
The development has fostered strong ties with the local community through collaborative events leading up to its completion. Local partnerships with Lon Las Primary School and Peniel Green Care Home resulted in unique artwork now proudly displayed on-site. In addition, the Lon Las school choir performed during the opening ceremony, showcasing their talent.
The Frederick Place development continues Caredig’s legacy of delivering quality housing that enhances Swansea’s communities, creating lasting positive impacts for both current and future generations. Our thanks to Welsh Government and Swansea Council for their support for the scheme.
Trawlln Farm Close, Llansamlet
This new development adds twelve new homes to our current portfolio and supports our ambitious programme of delivering 700 affordable, energy efficient homes over the next 10 years.
All twelve homes, both one and two bedroom, with 4 specifically adapted for disabled users, have been designed to meet the Welsh Government’s Design Quality requirements and achieve the highest energy rating of EPC A. The development is built to lifetime home standards and has also achieved a Secure by Design Gold Standard Certificate.
The new homes are funded by private finance from Caredig and Welsh Government (via its Social Housing Grant Programme), constructed by Castell Group and working in partnership with the City and County of Swansea.
Parc Mawr, Penllegaer
Last year, Caredig signed a contract with Bellway to deliver 37 new homes in five phases over the next four years at Parc Mawr, Penllegaer.
We are delighted to have the handover of the first several properties, which were all finished to a very high standard.

These homes include 9 one-bedroom apartments.

These homes come under our affordable housing criteria and include 5 one bedroom flats on the ground floor and 5 two bedroom flats on the upper floor.
These homes have now been let and our new tenants have settled in very well.
Ty Derw, Sketty
