International Women’s Day 2022

Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination. A world that’s diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women’s equality. Collectively we can all #BreakTheBias.

International Women’s Day is a day of support and celebration. Here at Caredig we are proud to celebrate women’s achievement, raise awareness against bias and take action for equality.
We provide an environment where women can strive, and their skills are valued.

Deborah Smyth, Board Member says “I have been a board member for the past 7 years and during this time my role has enabled me to both, influence and help improve the lives of others, as well as improve and develop my own personal skills.

I am in the privileged position of being able to contribute towards strategic decisions, which ultimately result in how our services will look in the future. Having this role provides me with the great opportunity to shape, influence and ensure diversity is built into our organisation’s succession planning.

As a single parent of two daughters, getting a work life balance can be particularly challenging, as there is always something that needs your attention! However, the old saying goes if you want something done, ask a busy person. Increasingly with meetings and work being conducted from home and with better ways of hybrid working, there has never been a better time for individuals to get involved and have their say.”

Some of our female leaders have taken time to share their thoughts click their image below to hear what they have to say.
