2024 Welsh Housing Awards Finalists

We are delighted to share that Caredig has been shortlisted for the Chartered Institute of Housing 2024 Welsh Housing Awards, under three categories:

Excellence in Customer Service

Caredig’s Customer Service is powered by our dedicated Housing Services Coordinators, a newly established team launched in 2023 with a clear strategic mission: to deliver a reliable, efficient, and customer-centric service for all who engage with Caredig. From day one, our goal was to put customers first by creating a service that not only meets but exceeds expectations.

Working in Partnership

The overall aim of our Dechrau service was to connect people to their community and peer support services to enhance their mental wellbeing and build on their own strengths and capabilities.
We have increased the number of partnerships formed and have particularly noticed the improvement in activities aimed at men’s health and wellbeing.

Excellence in Health and Wellbeing

Loneliness and isolation which was exacerbated during the pandemic has led to physical and mental health problems. We know that mental ill health is a common factor in many of our cases. Our wellbeing co-ordinator helps our tenants to access community activities which significantly improves wellbeing, confidence and combats loneliness and isolation.

We are proud of the effort our staff put in to making a difference to peoples lives and are thrilled that it has been recognised by these awards!
