Affordable Homes For Working People

Here at Caredig, we are proud to offer homes for people working and living in the local area. Affordable Homes are rented below private rented market levels, but above social rent levels and are subject to the criteria in the Affordable Housing definition. Please note there are no current vacancies, but you can join the waiting list.

Affordable Housing Applications

Due to high demand for housing across the region, we are currently unable to accept general applications or registrations of interest for our social housing properties. These homes continue to be allocated through the relevant local council Housing Options teams.

However, we do manage a number of Affordable Housing properties. These homes are offered at reduced rents to support people who do not qualify for social housing but may find full private sector rents unaffordable.

Interested in Affordable Housing?

If you would like to be considered for one of our Affordable Housing properties, please contact us directly.

Eligibility is based on your annual household income, and the minimum income requirement varies depending on the location and size of the property.

Our team will discuss:

  • Whether affordable properties are available in your area
  • The minimum income threshold for the specific property
  • What documents you may need to provide
  • Next steps for completing an assessment

Homes In The Gower

Caredig homes located in the Gower are subject to enhanced criteria. People living, working or from the community will be given priority. Please note there are no current vacancies, but you can join the waiting list.

Other Housing Providers

If you can’t find what you’re looking for on our website, maybe another housing association or Local Authority Housing options can help.
